Indigenous Tourism Consulting

Strategic Business Planning and Implementation

How can we help our clients create storylines about our places that ignite the imagination and fuel a desire to experience them?

How can we assist clients to give travelers compelling reasons to travel to more places in British Columbia in more seasons?

How can destination tourism development align with environmental stewardship to become economic engine for good and a place of hope and prosperity?

How can we support First Nations communities looking to develop Indigenous tourism ventures?

How can we help our clients to build public support for tourism and preserve our social license?

Our Purpose at BlueOcean Consulting is Answering these Essential Questions

BlueOcean Consulting is a Vancouver based consultancy focused on high potential destination development, driven by our clients’ needs for strategic planning and implementation expertise. Initially started in 2006 to provide hotel feasibility studies and strategic business planning for mixed use developments, including capital project and facility planning, the services soon expanded to offer pre-and post opening management, operationalizing business plans, seeking out strategic partnerships, recruitment, and financial system development.

We relaunched our consultancy in 2018 with an expanded focus on destination stewardship, Indigenous Tourism development and geographic dispersion. In this rewarding line of work, partnering with other consultancies, and fostering close relationships with Indigenous-led businesses, community partners and project stakeholders, including municipal and provincial governments, has proven to be the key to success.
