Markus managed day-to-day operations over a 14-year period, including control of financial, operational, sales & marketing plans and activities to transform a family run business to a RevPAR leader in the Canadian luxury boutique hotel market.

During this time, he fostered an exceptional team and built strategic industry partnerships to create and deliver unique and custom tailored client experiences. He acquired and re-zoned adjacent lands and implemented several resort expansions.
